Santorini, Restaurants and Tavernas

On the island of Santorini there is a wide choice of traditional tavernas and restaurants (Italian cuisine, Mexican, Chinese, Greek, international) in which you can taste dishes of meat and fish. Usually having lunch or dinner out is not very expensive, so the Greeks often go out during the week, when the premises are filled, about ten o'clock in the evening.

The particularity of tavernas, who gives the dinner a more familiar, is ordering several courses, which are then served in unique dishes, to be divided among all the diners, the food often is accompanied by ouzo mixed with water or local wine.

Almost always served a glass of water to accompany various beverages such as iced tea, coffee or wine. The service is free and, if desired, you can also request that the glass will then be refilled.
