Fishing
Places most suitable for fishing are Agrilia (12 km to the south of the town of Mytilini), Tsonia (40 km from Mytilini), Molyvos (60 km from Mytilini) and Sigri (98 km from Mytilini). If you have a boat, you should go to the islets of Myrsinia, in the Gera Bay, Toukmakia, Lamna to the north of Lesvos, Gavathas, Sigri and Myrmingi. Fishing along the curved coasts of Lesvos is also very exciting. Lures and live bait are available at the local fish shops and fishing tackle retailers. For longer fishing trips, ice can be obtained from two ice shops, one in Chalikas and the other in Pagani, nearby the town of Mytilini. 
The beaches of Lesvos are suitable for every kind of fishing. It is essential to have a car, a motorcycle or a small boat, which would be the best.
