Therma

Therma beach is located 13 km away from the town of Kos, in the south-eastern part of the island. The beach is covered with black sand and the seawater is very hot, warmed by hot springs, gushing out from subaqueous volcanic rocks and ending up into the sea. Swimming season is extended well into the autumn due to the high water temperatures.
